THE BOAT TRIP

Your flyfishing trip will start when you arrive in the international airport in Male the capital of the Maldives.
There you will be met with one of the GTF crew who will accompany you to the domestic flight that will fly you straight to the mothership.
Next you will board the mothership and be accommodated in your cabin fully equipped with aircondition,toilet and shower.

Moments later you will be on your way to the fishing grounds enjoying a cold drink and a snack.
As you are settled and unpacked there will be a briefing on what the mission will bring on the next 8 days.

We will also go thru a tackle and tactic talk looking at your setups getting assembled.
Onboard we have the pop up GTF Tackle shop that will be able to service you with whatever you might need.

The chef on board is Sri Lankan and the menu will be Sri Lankan and Southindian cuisine containing fresh fish and shell food with a choice of continental breakfast.
Onboard there is also a well selected bar at fair prices.

What you see is what you get…

There will be a choice of eating lunch on mothership or out on the reef.Our squid and grill master Ibrahim will on some days most certainly show some skills and do some lunch magic in the field.

The next morning you will wake up in some of the most pristine fishing grounds in the world.Eating breakfast at sun up.
As true regulators we mount the skiffs and the game is on,walking the reefs and surfzones scouting for fish.
This is the scnario for the next 8 days.

Everyday our guide crew will do their very best to get you the best chances of landing some big fish and service you in any way possible.

As the days go by the mothership will take you round the Atoll so every day will be a new scenery with beautiful sun ups and sun downs.All acompanied by Dolphins and Mantarays true bliss.

On day nine, we will fish for some hours on our way back to the airport, where we will Say goodbye and wish you a safe journey home.

Fly to Male capital of the Maldives

Day one: Arrival at Male International Airport.Transfers with domestic flight.Boarding and accommodation at our 8 person Safari vessel.Afterwards cold drinks are served together with a little bite of delight.
There we will give you all a briefing on what your mission will be the next 8 days followed by a tactics and tackle talk.

The next eight days we will take you on a personal guided flyfishing tour at some of the worlds most exciting and picture perfect scenary imaginable.
You will be personally guided with a couple buddy’s through sandy flats to the harsh coral reef in the unforgiving/challenging surf zone, which is where you will find the biggest monsters of the coral flats.
In the evening we will set up fly tying stations fully equipped with all materials needed.

Day nine: Departure.

There will be a bar onboard with a good selection of snacks and both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages at low cost.

  • We strongly recommend that our clients purchase a Travel/Trip insurance.

Due to the Covid-19 situation around the world, GTFlyfishing has decided as per August 1st 2020 to guarantee one hundred percent refund of your payments to GTFlyfishing or the possibility to move your trip to an other date in case of the Maldivian authorities decides to close down their country for foreigners due to Covid-19. This guarantee applies if the closedown is announced between one month and 24 hours before your departure day.

All tourists who plan to stay in tourist guest houses must hold a negative result for
a nucleic acid test (PCR test) for COVID 19 prior to entry in to the country. The sample for this test must be taken not more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled
time of departure from the first port of embarkation on route to Maldives.
Prior to departure from Maldives,
PCR testing is mandatory for any tourist who stayed on a tourist guest house island. If a specific time frame for PCR testing is
stated in the immigration requirements of the destination country, this time frame
must be followed. Otherwise the PCR test must be done within 72 hours prior to
departure from Maldives. The tourist guest house must facilitate the PCR testing for
the tourist. The tourist or the guest house must bear all costs associated with PCR testing.
