We will take you on a personal guided fishing tour at some of the worlds most exciting and picture perfect scenary imaginable. You will be personally guided with a couple buddy’s through the harsh coral reef in the unforgiving/challenging surf zone, which is something off the craziest spin fishing, one can imagine. And is where you will find the biggest monsters of the coral flats. The Giant Trewally. And from the coastal reefs with abundance of hard fighting game fish such as Red Bass (Lutjanus Bohar) And various species of Jobfish among other, Green Jobfish (Aprion Virescens) and Ruby Snapper (Etelis Carbunculus) and an incredible number of various Groupers, to the deep blue Ocean, which is were we find the Wahoo, Yellow Fin Tuna and the Sailfish, and on very rare occasion the mighty Striped Marlin, some off the fastest and most amazing fish in the sea. To the darkens of the deep abyss with is infested with a overwhelming diversity of different species with many that is not jet scientifically described.

Arriving in Male International Airport in the capital of the Maldives, you will be met by one of our GTFlyfishing crew whom will accompany you to the domestic airport from where there will be a half-hour flight time to the Island. From there the next hour is by boat to the island where you will stay through out the trip. After arriving at your local guest house you will receive a cool drink and a snack followed up by a key for your room with private toilet and bath, aircondition and Wi-Fi. As you get settled, we will give you a briefing on what your mission will be the next 8 days, followed up by a tackle and tactics talk.

The rest of the afternoon you will be busy getting your gear ready for the next morning. In the evening we all have dinner together and then hit the sack. The next 8 days we get up early just before sun rise, have some breakfast, gear up, go to the boats and off we go. We have the lovely opportunity to fish all day with only one lunch break till sunset at five. Everyday our guide crew will do their very best to get you the best chances of landing some big fish and service you in any way possible.

The Trip

Fly to Male capital of the Maldives

Day one:

Arrival at Male International Airport. Transfers with domestic flights and speed boat.

Arrival at the guest house.

Afterwards cold drinks are served together with a little bite of delight.

There we will give you all a briefing on what your mission will be the next 8 days followed by a tactics and tackle talk.

The next eight days:

We will take you on a personal guided fishing tour at some of the worlds most exciting and picture perfect scenary imaginable.

You will be personally guided with a couple buddy’s through the harsh coral reef in the unforgiving/challenging surf zone, which is something off the craziest spin fishing, one can imagine. And is where you will find the biggest monsters of the coral flats.

It will also be possible to plan the day according to how the weather develops.

In the evening is it possible to do  some night fishing if there is any energy left after a long day at the Sea.

If there should be special requests we will do our best to accommodate them.

Day nine: Departure.

PACKING FOR A TRIP.

THE PACK LIST:

Rods:

Strong casting rods for popping and stick baits 

Reels: 

Saltwater reels with the capability of holding at least 250m of 80lb to a 100lb braid line.

Lines: 

An extra spool with line is always a good idea.

Baits:

Bring all your favorite bait, equip them with the best saltwater hooks and you can afford.

Leaders:

80lb to 130lb fluorocarbon or mono-line.

Apparel:

Cap and buff.

Long-sleeved shirts,pants and/ or shorts in (UPF30+)

Casting and  sun gloves.

Flats boots, wading socks and gravel guards if  you want to try the Surf zone.

Accessories:

Waterproof backpack or sling pack.

Polarised sunglasses and lens mist.

Saltwater resistant pliers and hook sharpener.

Waterproof camera or mobile phone.

TRIP INSURANCE – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Due to the Covid-19 situation around the world, GTFlyfishing has decided as per August 1st 2020 to guarantee one hundred percent refund of your payments to GTFlyfishing or the possibility to move your trip to an other date in case of the Maldivian authorities decides to close down their country for foreigners due to Covid-19. This guarantee applies if the closedown is announced between one month and 24 hours before your departure day.

All tourists who plan to stay in tourist guest houses must hold a negative result for
a nucleic acid test (PCR test) for COVID 19 prior to entry in to the country. The sample for this test must be taken not more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled
time of departure from the first port of embarkation on route to Maldives.
Prior to departure from Maldives,
PCR testing is mandatory for any tourist who stayed on a tourist guest house island. If a specific time frame for PCR testing is
stated in the immigration requirements of the destination country, this time frame
must be followed. Otherwise the PCR test must be done within 72 hours prior to
departure from Maldives. The tourist guest house must facilitate the PCR testing for
the tourist. The tourist or the guest house must bear all costs associated with PCR testing.
